Our little guy was born November 4th, 2011, same day as his Grandpa John! He's also John's first grandson, which makes it even more special! I kept thinking all last week how I just needed to make it till Friday. So when Friday came around, I made sure to go for a nice long walk. Sure enough, the walking worked. My contractions picked up and were about 5min apart. Around noon I decided I should probably head to the hospital. I had Nates mom drop me off so she could take Sadie home. Once I got there, they monitored my contractions for about an hour then came and told me I was stayin. Exactly what I wanted to hear! I was so excited! I called Nate and told him it was time to leave work! the doctor came in around 2 to break my water and things quickly progressed from there. My nurse was so amazing, I swear she never left my side the whole day. She even sat and watched tv with me! I told her she was the best nurse I had ever had and I think she was pretty flattered cause she told every other nurse that came in my room that day. :) Around 5, Nate went and picked up Sadie and his mom and then dropped Sadie off at julies house. Right as him and his mom got back to the room, the nurse checked me, and quickly told me not to push! She said the baby was right there! I started to laugh out of shock that it was already happening and she told me to stop laughing cause every time I did, the babies head would slide out. My doctor quickly ran over, I pushed maybe once, and he slid right out!! I didn't even break a sweat! I didn't think it could get any easier than Sadie's delivery. (I pushed about 3 times with Sadie). I was so excited to have Charlie in my arms! He is the most perfect baby! He rarely ever cries and is already trying to sleep through the night. I have to try REALLY hard to wake him up for a feeding. Nate and I feel so blessed to have two perfect babies! I got to come home from the hospital, less than 24 hrs later. Sadie has been adjusting well to this new little person taking mommy and daddy's attention. She has her moments, like when I'm breast feeding and she starts screaming for me to hold her! But she really does love her brother and is so sweet and gentle.
