Yesterday, Nate and I decided we wanted to take the kids to the beach. We thought it would be fun for Sadie, if we invited her cousin, Austin, to come along. The two of them were SO cute together! They watched Surfs Up in the car and the two of them were laughing hysterically at each other, the whole way. Once we got there, Sadie took a minute to warm up to the idea of "being dirty". She is 100% girl! We finally had to put her sandals on her, so her feet wouldn't be touching the sand. But it didn't take her long to realize how fun it was! She and Austin loved filling the bucket with water and playin in it. And Austin was not scared of the water, at all. Which is surprising, since it was his first time at the beach. He loved jumping over the waves!
Sadie had this weird obsession with drinking the salt water! She loved it! Which is funny because I'm always saying how she's my salt girl! She would much rather have popcorn, than a cookie. And when I gave her a cookie, at the beach, she went over to the bucket, soaked the cookie in the water, and then at the whole thing! It was seriously grossing me out!
On the way home, Austin said, "This is the best day ever!" And he was so right! The day could not have been more perfect! The weather was beautiful, the water was warm, and no one cried, not even Charlie! It's days like yesterday, that make me SO grateful for my life!

This has been a very busy week, and we're not even through the weekend yet! Monday we went to Julie's and then to the park with Julie and Stina. Tuesday, was extremely rainy, so we met friends at Mc Donald's, to play. Then we went home to nap our babies. Then after naps, Jacquelyn and I decided to take the kids to an indoor play place, at a church. Tuesday night,Tamra came over to play, while her hubby was busy with church stuff. Wednesday, Julie wanted to try out the indoor play place, so we all decided to go again. We finished playing and decided the day wouldn't be complete, without a trip to Target. So that's where Jacqs and I headed. While we were browsing the toy isle, Sadie got SO excited when she saw the Minney Mouse Bowtique Shopping Cart. So I thought, "why not? She deserves it!" Wednesday night, Sadie and I went on a little adventure with Tamra, to babies r us, to help her decide between two different glider chairs, she wants for her nursery. Thursday, we went with Tamra to this AWESOME Children's consignment sale, that they do twice a year. Sadie found a pink Radio Flyer bike. She was so excited! After we got home, and had our naps, we went for a walk, and looked at some ducks. Then last night, Tamra and Eric stopped by for another visit. :) It has been such a fun week, and I have lots of pics to prove it! :)

This past week, Nate turned the big 3-8! For his bday, I attempted to surprise him, and fly out his best friend, Casey, from San Diego, but that didn't work out so great. So instead, I decided to throw him a little bday party/bbq at our house. I made up an evite to send out to friends, and didn't realize till after I sent it, that there was a little typo.
For some reason, I thought my husband was turning 37. But nope, he's 38. That's what happens when there is a 13 yr age difference between us. The funny thing is, when I e-mailed the invite to him and asked what was wrong with it, he couldn't figure it out. Apparently, he thinks he's 37 too.
The party was so fun, and I think Nate had a great time, hanging out with family and close friends. Even though Nate is 38, we all know he's a big kid at heart. So Julie suggested we have a pinata! I thought it sounded like a great idea, and I know the kids especially loved it! We also hung some paper, along the fence, for the kids to color. It was so cute watching them all lined up out there!
We spent the rest of the weekend, relaxing, and enjoying our little family.

It has been a busy few weeks, with lots to blog about!
I'll start with my best friend, Tamra's, baby shower. Her little girl will be arriving the beginning of April, and I CANNOT wait! I love this little girl so much, already! Tamra is going to be the sweetest, most loving mommy, ever!!
For her baby shower, we decided to do a vintage/lace theme. It turned out SO, SO cute!!! Our friend, Amber, was so nice to let us host it at her house.
Tamra's best friend, Katy, whom she grew up with, was able to fly in from AZ. It was so nice that she was able to come for the shower. I had met her a few months ago, when she came out to visit, so I was very excited to see her again. The three of us were able to squeeze in a little shopping day, as well. I can't wait for her to come back in a few weeks!
Charlie also turned four months last week and had his 4 month checkup. He's growin perfectly and was pretty much in the 50th percentile, for everything. But he has still managed to surpass Sadie's 4month weight.
He has become a lot more alert, these days, and loves to play in his saucer. He continues to be my little angel and will sit in his swing for two hrs, without makin a peep!
And our Sadie girl is going to be 18 months, in a few weeks! I feel like I went from having a baby, to a little girl, over night!!! She's definitely at that stage, where she mimics everything we do and wants to do EvERYTHING herself. If she sees Nate using a q-tip, she wants to use one too. When I'm washing my hands in the sink, she wants to wash hers. She's even started using my IPhone, on her own. It's really cute, cause sometimes I'll look over, and she's trying to slide her finger along the screen, to unlock it. And most of the time, she figures it out. Her other new thing, is that she loves to do the splits, and shows off for anyone who comes over. She's going to be my little gymnast!
And lastly, is our trip to the Houston Rodeo. On Thursday, my friend, Jacquelyn, and I, decided that we were feeling extremely ambitious, and wanted to take our 5 kids, (all 3 & under), to the Rodeo. There were moments, when we wondered, what were we thinking?! But over all, we had a great time, and I'm glad we decided to go! I love spending time with Jacquelyn and her boys, and I know Sadie does too!
