DaDa's Little Princess
Last night I went over to Julie's to watch Bachelor Pad, with the girls, and when I got home I discovered Nate and Sadie had made a little purchase. Nate felt that his little princess needed her own chair. I laughed when I saw it, and thought, this is totally something Nate would buy. But I gotta hand it to him, Sadie LOVES her new chair. Everytime I turn around, she's sittin in it. It's pretty freakin cute!

Jacq's bday
Last night, the girls and I went out to dinner to celebrate our friend, Jacquelyn's, birthday. I love Jacquelyn to death and am so glad we have become such good friends. She has two boys and one on the way. Nate and I always joke that Sadie will end up marrying one of her boys because they are such studs! I love them to pieces and it will be so fun to raise our two new boys together. She can definitely teach me a lot about raising boys!
The Birthday Girl
Anytime the girls get together, it ends up being a late night, so I didn't get home till 11:30. Of course I thought Sadie would definitely be asleep in her bed but instead I find this...
the two loves of my life, cuddled together on the couch. Doesn't get any sweeter!

Utah
Sadie and I spent the past week in Utah, with Nate's sisters. We stayed at Brooke's new house in Holladay. We had such a great time. We got there Wednesday morning and went straight to Brookes, to get settled in. Then Wednesday night we went out to sushi with Brooke and Lezlie. Thursday I spent the day with my Grandma. Taking her shopping and to Red Lobster, her fav! I think its hilarious that every time I see her, she wants to go to Red Lobster, but apparently they have REALLY good clam chowder! :) Then Thursday night, I met my best friend, Jenna, for dinner. It was so great to see her. We grew up together in Encinitas and now she works in Salt Lake. I love her so much and every time I see her, I'm reminded why. She's the sweetest, most hilarious girl ever! The rest of the week was filled with lots of shopping, eating out, going to my cousins wedding reception, and visiting with Nate's Grandma. Nate's grandma is probably one of the greatest ladys I have ever met. She's 97 yrs old and doesn't look or act it, at all! She still drives, cracks jokes, visits with her friends, and plays card games. I just love being around her, she's constantly making me laugh! And Sadie loved her too. She was giving her high fives and showing off her walking skills. We had a great time with Grandma Simmons! Thank you hubs for our last minute Utah trip, and thank you Brookie for being such an amazing hostess and taking such great care of Sadie and I. We love you!

Charlie Update
So for the past 8 wks or so, I've been having random braxton hicks contractions, but nothing consistent so I never worried. Until last Monday, when I woke up from a nap and was having them pretty bad and for about an hour straight. It was 5:30 when I woke up so Nate had just gotten home from work. I waited an hour and then called my doctor. Of course the office was closed so the on-call nurse told me to go over to the hospital. I told Nate it was no big deal, and that I would just run over real quick and he could stay home with Sadie. When I got to the hospital, they got me all hooked up and started monitoring my contractions. Lucky for me, my doctor happened to be on-call that night and was already at the hospital. So he came in and told me my contractions were close together and that he wanted to give me an iv and get me hydrated. He also checked me to see if I was dilated and luckily, I was not. He also did what's called a Fetal Fibronectin Pre Term Labor Test. Once they got me loaded with fluids, my contractions slowed down significantly, so he said I could go home. He also said the test results wouldn't come back 'til the middle of the night but that it would probably be negative, and not to worry. I got a missed call at midnight, that night and it turns out it was my doctor, calling to tell me my test results came back positive. He called me into his office the next day. When I got there, the nurse told me the bad news and immediate followed it with, "he's going to put you on bed rest 'til the baby comes". I immediately started crying and said, "how am I going to be on bed rest with an 11 month old!" So for the next 20 min, while I waited for the doctor to come in, I laid on the bed with all these horrifying thoughts running through my head, thinking, this is not happening! Once my doctor came in, he gave me a little piece of good news. He said that because I wasn't dilated, he wasn't going to put me on "strict bed rest". He said I just needed to take it very easy and he wanted me to come in every week to get checked. So then I immediately asked if I could still go to Utah next week. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to do anything to jeopardize me going full term, but I also need to get out of this heat so bad! So he said that if I come in on Tuesday, and there's still nothin going on, he'll let me go. Phew!!! So now I am just trying my BEST to lay low. It is very hard for me though, I'm not going to lie. I hate just sitting around. I'm constantly thinking of things I should be doing around the house. Julie has been extremely helpful. I go over to her house, in between Sadie's naps, and she helps with Sadie while I try to relax. Nate has been absolutely amazing! I came home yesterday to find that he had left work early to come home and clean the house. He's constantly telling me to stop doing stuff and he is so helpful with Sadie. And surprisingly, he is really good at cleaning! Who knew?! That's alot coming from me, cause I'm extremely anal when it comes to cleaning. I am one lucky girl to have him as my husband!

10 1/2 Months
I feel like Sadie has changed so much in the past month. She is growing up way too fast. She pretty much walks everywhere now. (Still falls down occasionally, but gets right back up and keeps walkin). I feel like now when she says a word, she really knows what she's saying. Her newest thing is, she likes to pick up my phone and say "dada". So of course, I have to call Nate. And as soon as he answers the phone, she says, "dadadada" over and over. She's also learned to put the phone up to her ear when she's talking. It's the cutest thing! But out of everything, I think Nate and I are the most excited that she's learned to give kisses. Every morning when I bring her in our bed, she leans in and gives Nate a big open mouth kiss, right on the lips! He just eats it up!!! I've been trying to post video of her walking, but this stupid TX humidity has ruined our video camera! So hopefully a video will be coming soon...I love our girl so much. Probably more and more everyday, even though I keep thinking its not possible!
Julie and I are officially in party planning mode, for Sadie and Mckaylas first bday. Since they're only 10 days apart, we figured it only made sense to do a joint party. And of course, double the bday girl, and you double the party budget! :) It will be adorable and I can't wait!

Utah Trip
So a few days ago, as I'm thinking about how much I hate this TX heat, I decided to look at flights and see if I could find something cheap enough to justify getting away. My cousin is getting married in Utah on the 20th, so I thought, well now I have an excuse! So lucky for me, I found a really cheap flight and called Nate. It did not take much convincing at all. I think I was on the phone with him for a total of 30sec before buying the tickets. So now Sadie and I will be heading to Utah on the 17th and I'm so excited. We'll be staying with Nate's sister, Brooke. So I'll get to see both his sisters, his Grandma, and lots of my family. And of course my bf Jenna! Then 3 wks after that, Nate and I are headed to San Diego. Can't wait!!
