My Baby Girl Turned One!

Sadie celebrated her first birthday on September 20th. I can't believe a year has already gone by. Nate and I love her so much and tell eachother everyday, how lucky we are that she's our daughter. Before we left on vacay, our very talented friend, Forrest Harris, took some one year old shots of Sadie. Here is a little sneak peak of some of them...more to come later.

Arizona and San Diego Trip

Sadie and I have had a busy couple of weeks. We left on September 9th, and headed to AZ to visit my mom. We flew into Phoenix and met my little sister and went shopping for a wedding dress. Which she found! It's beautiful and I can't wait to see her in it! The next next 5 days, we spent just relaxing with my mom and doin lots of shoppin. I was horrible about taking pictures but I did get a few at Sadie's little birthday party, my mom threw for her.

After our wonderful trip to see Nana, we headed to San Diego to meet Nate. His parents also flew in, from Hawaii. Our main reason for going to San Diego was to go to Nates friend, Anthony's, wedding. Nate has a very close group of friends, that he's known since his early soccer days. It was so fun to see everyone.

On Saturday, we went out to breakfast with Nate's parents "adopted grandchildren", the Alexanders. Afterwards, they came over for a little swim party. Sadie loved playing in the pool with all the kids!

Then on Sunday, we had a bbq with Nate's family. His Uncle David and cousin Rebecca came. Along with his brother Johnny, and his family. It was so fun to see everyone, but unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures. We had a great weekend with Grandma and Grandpa, and the fun didn't even end there. Nate's mom flew back to Houston for Sadie's birthday party on Saturday. His dad is flying in tonight. It's so great to have his mom here. And since I'm sort of on "un-official bedrest", its been great to have the extra help with Sadie.

Wedding Bells

So, as I mentioned before, my little sis came and spent the summer with us in Houston. While she was here, we set her up with a boy, who was home from BYU for the summer. They hit it off and spent EVERY single day together. And now they're getting married!! Who would've thought?! I could not be happier for her. Jacob is such a great guy and he comes from an amazing family. They are very lucky to have found eachother and I'm sure they will be very happy together. They're getting married, here in Houston, in December. It's going to be a busy couple of months, but I'm excited!
