Sadie Ashlyn Wagner was born September 20th, 2010 at 11:57am. She was 6lbs 8oz and 19 1/2 in long.
So as you know, I went into the hospital Sunday night at midnight, and the plan was to be induced. Well, it turned out when I arrived at the hospital, I was already in labor and didn't even know it. My contractions were consistent every 5-7 minutes. They normally would have started the induction very early Monday morning but because I was laboring on my own, they waited and only started me on a small dose around 4:30am. Immediately after, my contractions came every 2 minutes. At 7:30, the doctor came and broke my water, (which was by far was the most painful part of the whole birth) and from there, the contractions became much more intense. When they checked me at 9am, i was 4 cm and they didn't check me again until around 11am. The nurse had a very shocked look on her face and her exact words were "I don't feel anything". I freaked out and was like, "well what does that mean!" Apparently she meant that she couldn't feel my cervix anymore. She said I was fully dilated and she could feel the babies head. She had me push about twice and then told me to stop because she needed to call the doctor. He rushed over and I pushed 3 more times and she was out! I was shocked at how fast and easy the whole thing was. Holding Sadie for the first time was the most amazing moment of my life. Words can't even describe how much she's changed our lives in just the 2 days she's been with us. She's the most love/spoiled little girl in the whole world. Nate can't stop looking at her and taking pics. He just keeps telling me how perfect she is. It's been so great watching him transition into being a daddy. She's eating great. From the second she came out, she latched right on and doesn't ever want to stop eating. I can't tell if she's really gettin much out, but she's lovin it!
